A Local Guide to Perth

We reckon Perth is a pretty amazing place to live! Because this city has so much to offer with beautiful people, world-class food and wine, stunning places to see, and fantastic locally made products. Our Perth Local guides highlight the things that make Perth great!

One of the most isolated major cities of the world, Perth oozes charm, nature, culture, food and wine without the crowds! From here, you can explore the vast and diverse state of Western Australia. The 12,000 kilometres of scenic coastline, magnificent wilderness areas, red-earth, wildflowers and spectacular rock formations. And, as the sunniest Australian state capital, averaging 3,000 hours of sunshine per year, you’ll also want to swim at our breathtakingly beautiful beaches. When it comes to visiting Australia, Perth is often not on the top of most travel lists. We aim to change that!

Anyone who knows Perth, truly knows that WEST is BEST!

Sitting on the beautiful Swan River, Perth is often given the name “outdoor city” by locals and tourists. We like to live, dine and play outside for most of the year. Swim at turquoise beaches, relax in natural bushland, dine at top-notch restaurants, sample world-class local wines and watch an ocean sunset. All within 30 minutes of the Perth city!

Hi! I’m Lisa

Recently voted as the sixth most livable city in the world, Perth is a great place to live and explore. Although it’s been my home for over 16 years, I’m amazed to still discover new places every week that I never knew about.

I love the idea of living ‘locally’ which is why I decided to start Perth Local to share my passion for this city and the greater state of Western Australia. And I hope that you agree – we have some pretty incredible local food, products and places to see.
